New Deal is located six miles north of Lubbock. Our school district includes the city of New Deal and the adjoining rural area that totals 119 square miles. Our district serves approximately 750 students and provides a balanced and challenging curriculum, building the foundation for productive lives.
Extracurricular activities are an important part of a well-rounded education. New Deal is proud to have a history of extracurricular excellence that includes All-State performances in band, leadership accomplishments in career and technology programs, numerous state playoff appearances in both team and individual sports, and numerous UIL academic accomplishments.
All schools in the New Deal school district are fully accredited by the Texas Education Agency, and our curriculum includes a rigorous and well-rounded education that includes advanced placement, concurrent college enrollment through dual credit classes, tech prep college courses, special education, career and technology education, gifted and talented programs, and English as a Second Language programs. New Deal High School is also an accredited T-STEM Academy, which includes rigorous academics for the advancement in the areas of math, science, and technology.

Our State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) results are typically above the state average, with our district receiving several Gold Performance Awards from the Texas Education Agency. Overall, our scores have been exceptional compared to the rest of the state of Texas, which has become a tradition for our schools.
